Abstract (EN)
In this study, public personnel working in Kırklareli province were evaluated in order to evaluate the fire and fire intervention knowledge of public personnel. Occupational health and safety is an extremely important issue for working people. Fire disaster, which is one of the accidents that people working in the public sector may encounter within the scope of occupational health and safety, is an issue that should be emphasized. Fire training should be as important as occupational health and safety training for people. If these trainings remain only on paper and are not given due importance, the consequences may be extremely heavy as a result of an accident or disaster. This study, which evaluates the fire and fire response knowledge of public personnel working in Kırklareli province, was conducted using the survey method, one of the quantitative research techniques. In the research, data was collected by applying a survey to 644 public employees working in Kırklareli province through random sampling. As a result of the data collected, it was revealed that a large proportion of the participants in the study, 49%, did not receive fire training, and this could lead to very dangerous consequences as a result of a fire in a worEccident. Therefore, while a fire disaster can occur at anytime, anywhere, fire training is extremely important and necessary for people working in workplaces to minimize this danger. As a result of this study, it is of great importance that fire training is repeated at regular intervals and carefully.
