Abstract (EN)
The aim of this research, which emphasizes the importance of the concept of self-confidence in one's being a lifelong learner and tries to explain the place of self-confidence in the context of lifelong learning, is to reveal the relationship between the self-confidence levels of women working in the public sector and their lifelong learning levels, and to determine the lifelong learning levels and self-confidence of working women. to examine in terms of various variables (age, occupation, marital status, educational status, years of service). The research was conducted with the relational survey model, one of the general survey models. The data collection tools selected in accordance with the quantitative method are the personal information form developed by the researcher, the Women's Self-Confidence Scale developed by Yurtçiçek Ergüntop(2019) and the Employee Lifelong Learning Scale Turkish Form developed by Koç(2017). The population of the research consisted of 10138 women working in the public sector in the center of a province located in the Western Black Sea Region. The scales were applied to 396 female employees selected by convenient sampling method. Data were collected from women working both face-to-face and online. The findings of the research were analyzed with the SPSS 25 program. Descriptive statistics (arithmetic mean, standard deviation), nonparametric Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis H test were used to analyze the data. As a result of the research, it was determined that the self-confidence levels and lifelong learning levels of working women were high. While no significant difference was found between the self-confidence levels of women and the variables of age, marital status, educational status, occupational group, and years of service; It was seen that the only variable associated with self-confidence was income level. A significant relationship was found between the lifelong learning level of women and the variables of age, education level, occupational group, years of service and income level; It was found that there was no significant relationship with the marital status variable. There is a moderately positive relationship between the lifelong learning levels of working women and their self-confidence. In addition, it is thought that the self-confidence of working women facilitates them in working life and has positive effects in terms of lifelong learning competencies.
