Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this research is to reveal the effect of the psychological violence (mobbing) experienced by women who have worked or still work in the public sphere, on the private sphere. In line with this purpose, the primary target is the emergence and type of mobbing that women are exposed to in the public sphere, and by whom; and then to reveal how women affect their private sphere through the narratives of the victims. In addition, it has been tried to analyze whether there is a significant relationship between the mobbing behaviors that women are exposed to and the pressure elements created by gender inequality. In order to collect data, in-depth interviews were conducted with a total of 11 mobbing victims living in Istanbul, Ankara, Eskişehir, Denizli and Bolu, who resigned, retired or are still working as public or private sector employees. Interviews were analyzed and analyzed. In the light of these data, it has been determined that mobbing negatively affects women's staying in working life and their private space. In addition, it has been understood that mobbing behaviors against women contain sexism.
