Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceived social support and life satisfaction of individuals working in poultry enterprises. In the the study, the relationship between perceived social support and life satisfaction of poultry workers was evaluated and it was examined whether the perceived social support and life satisfaction variables differ according to the socio-demographic variables of the participants according to age, gender, marital status, educational status, number of children, working hours in the sector, weekly working hours, monthly income, whether they are business owners or employees. The study has been introduced to the literature with respect to examine the relationship between perceived social support and life satisfaction of individuals working in poultry enterprises in Bolu (Gerede, Dörtdivan, Yeniçağa) districts and to measure these variables according to some socio-demographic variables.In addition, it is believed that poultry workers will contribute to poultry workers by offering measures to increase their perceived social support and life satisfaction levels. In this study 268 individuals working in poultry farms in Bolu (Gerede, Dörtdivan, Yeniçağa) districts were interviewed one by one.A total of three questionnaires, including the The Multidimensional Scale Of Perceived Social Support and Life Satisfaction Scale, and the personal information form of the socio-demographic characteristics of individuals working in poultry enterprises, were applied.As a result of the analyzes, it was found that there is a significant relationship between life satisfaction levels of the poultry workers and perceived social support and sub-dimensions of perceived social support. The perceived social support levels of the poultry workers participating in the research vary with gender, education, number of children, working hours in poultry enterprises, weekly working hours, monthly income level of the family and the type of socio-demographic variables.It was also found that there is a significant difference between the level of life satisfaction of the poultry workers and the gender, age, education, number of children, working time in poultry enterprises, working life in the poultry enterprises, monthly income level of the family, working status, type of work and the number of households living outside variables.
