Abstract (EN)

16 th century was the most brilliant term of the Ottoman Empire Especially during the reing of Kanûnî Sultan Süleyman, the state reached the summit of political, military, economic, social etc. areas. This situation is undoubtedly reflected in literature and Divan poetry raised master poets in this period. The leading poets of Kanûnî Sultan Süleyman's bounty and benevolence were Hayâlî, Bâkî and Taşlıcalı Yahyâ. The answer to the question of how the 16 th century richness reflected to the Divan poetry was first sought in the works of the poets mentioned in this thesis. In which precious stones were found in the divans, the constroctions established with these precious stones, the elements they were associated with were investigated through selected poems and couplets. Also in the thesis, the frequency of usage of precious stones in these divans and their different meanings were examined. Poems built with precious stones were alsoincluded. Thus taking into consideration the interest of the "poet-boss" in this text-centered thesis, the effect of the magnificence of the 16 th centry on the Divan poetry was tried to be revealed through precious stones in the divans of Hayâlî, Bâkî and Taşlıcalı Yahyâ. Keywords: 16 th century, Kanûnî Sultan Süleyman, Hayâlî, Bâkî, Taşlıcalı Yahyâ, precious stones.
