An examination on Kanuni Erhan Akalın's life and his contributions to Turkish music culture

In this study, the life of the local artist of Kütahya, Kanuni Erhan Akalın and his contributions to Turkish Music Culture were investigated. Erhan Akalın has grown up with Traditional Turkish Music since childhood and music has become a necessity for him. He got his musical talent and education from his father. He developed under the guidance of his father and contributed to Turkish Music Culture. Erhan Akalın's compositions and photographs are also included in this work. Although the written sources related to the research subject were examined, very few written data were obtained. Therefore, interviews were conducted with family members, relatives and close friends of Erhan Akalın to collect data. In addition, the sound recordings of Erhan Akalın from the past to the present were examined. Keywords: Kanuni Erhan Akalın, Turkish music, composing.
