Abstract (EN)
Rock carved structures are mostly found in the Cappadocia Region in our country. These structures, which are of great cultural importance as a tourist attraction, became official in the 1970s, and their design, design principles and calculations have gained importance in recent years. Today, these buildings are converted into accommodation structures such as hotels in order to increase tourism activities. Considering that such structures will gain more importance in our country in the coming years, it will be necessary to standardize the calculations and principles of these structures, as in the engineering calculations applied in other structures. Our country has a geography, the majority of which is on the seismic belt. For this reason, the static and earthquake analyzes of every building to be built in our country should be impressive in terms of reducing the intensity of the earthquake after a possible earthquake. Within the scope of this study, it is aimed to carry out static analysis and earthquake analysis of a real size rock carving structure, considering the natural solid material properties, with a static calculation program working with the finite element analysis method.
