Abstract (EN)
This is a field study on whether psychological resilience plays an active role in the burnout experienced by healthcare professionals working in closed environments due to health concerns. In the study, a survey method was applied in order to determine the connections between health anxiety, burnout and psychological resilience factors. The research was conducted with data collected from 348 healthcare professionals working at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Hospital. The "Personal Information Form" was used to determine the demographic characteristics of the healthcare professionals who contributed to the research, the "Health Anxiety Scale Short Form" was used to determine their health anxiety levels, the "Maslach Burnout Level Scale" was used to determine their burnout levels, and the "Psychological Resilience Scale for Adults" was used to determine their psychological resilience. Data analyses were performed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) 21 and Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS) 21 Graphics statistical programs. Kurtosis and Skewness values were examined to determine whether the research variables showed normal distribution, and the scatter diagram matrix was examined to check the linearity assumption. Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationships between variables. Structural equation modeling was used to test the research hypotheses. Finding: It was found that psychological resilience mediates the relationship between health anxiety and burnout, and that psychological resilience and health anxiety variables explain 38% of the total variance in burnout among healthcare personnel working in closed environments. Keywords: Indoor Environment, Healthcare Personnel, Health Anxiety, Burnout, Psychological Resilience.
