Abstract (EN)
The study attempted to follow a method to move towards the concrete in thought by using Marx's method, that is, starting from the real concrete, through abstraction. The real concrete is Veblen's abstraction of capitalism, as it presents us here. The space of capitalism, while pursuing a method to progress to the concrete in thought (that is, to the whole that exists in our mind as reconstructed and comprehended) in Veblen's effort to make the abstraction of capitalism abstraction; The United States, its nature; machinery process, institutions; the idle class and private property institution and actor has been the finance captain. The most prominent feature of capitalism in Veblen's abstraction of capitalism is that production becomes a monetary phenomenon. This development of the nature of production has led businessmen to focus their activities on financial activities rather than on industrial activities. This change in entrepreneurship in the development of the capitalist system has been in the form of the entrepreneur's transformation from captains of industry to finance captains. In other words, the industry captains, who were former entrepreneurs, turned into financial entrepreneurs, a new type in the capitalist development process. In modern capitalism, businessmen are pushing back real production activities by dealing with more monetary functions. Veblen states that in general, businessmen's attitudes in this direction, which have changed in the process of institutional evolution, are prevented from working productively in the industry. At the same time, businessmen prevent the emergence of technical progress that may occur in the production process as a result of these attitudes and activities. Because, as a necessity of the interest of periodic business life, production must be restricted in line with the purpose of profit. In particular, the financial sector, which creates the new superstructure, credit, debt and fictitious capital gains; the infrastructure represents the community. In this context, the superstructure determines the infrastructure.
