Abstract (EN)

When the studies conducted in Turkiye on Karachay-Balkar Turkish, one of the North-Western (Kipchak) group Turkish dialects were examined, it was seen that there was no comprehensive study in the field of syntax. For this reason, the aim of the study is to present a monograph about the word groups that fall within the field of syntax and to contribute to the literature. A new classification attempt was made by giving information about the use, structure and syntagmatic features of the word groups in Karachay-Balkar Turkish, and the differences and similarities between the word groups in Karachay-Balkar Turkish and the word groups in Turkey Turkish were determined. Studies on syntax in Karachay-Balkar Turkish started at a later date compared to other areas of grammar (phonetics, morphology, etc.). Word groups in Karachay-Balkar Turkish were examined with a method shaped within the framework of the Soviet ecole. There is also a parallelism between the analysis methods in studies on word groups. Researchers working on word groups in Turkey have not been able to reach a consensus on many issues. Fundamentally, there are problems such as terms, definitions, naming, classification, and not taking functional features as basis in the classifications created. In this study, word groups were examined according to the structural-grammatical (number of combining elements, word type of the basic element, connection method between elements, syntactic connection type) and functional-semantic plan (syntactic function) shaped within the framework of the Soviet school.
