There were 138 Male (51.1%) and 132 female (48.9%). When participants were analyzed in general; 74.8% of participants had a positive attitude towards organ donation, and main reason for neglecting organ donation was "lack of courage" (40.3%). Participants stated liver (79.3%) as transplantable organ. The knowledge regarding centers of liver transplantation in Parçikan and Çiftlik villages were (%56,7) and (%36) respectively (p=0.001). Knowledge regarding regeneration of liver following liver transplantation in Parçikan and Çiftlik villages were(%75,4) and (%57,4) (p=0.001). Knowledge regarding brain death in Parçikan and Çiftlik villages were (%79,1) and (%58,1) (p=0.001). Acquaintance with a patient who has received organ transplantation in Parçikan and Çiftlik villages were (%63,7) and (%16,2) (p=0.000) significantly higher. Conclusion: The fact that the number of transplant recipients in Parçikan village is higher than that of Çiftlik village is a determining factor in higher consciousness and awareness of organ donation and donation in Parçikan village participants with respect to Çiftlik village.
