Abstract (EN)
In this research, absolute and relative fecundity, fertilization, eyeing of incubated eggs, hatching rate, free swimming and hatchability of Black Sea trout (Salmo trutta labrax PALLAS, 1811) broodstocks (F3) were investigated under commercial farm conditions.During the experiment, Black Sea trout broodstocks were used with the mean initial weights of 3,338±379 g and 2,029±158 g and the mean initial lengths of 64.8±2.8 cm and 54.5±1.6 cm for female and male individuals, respectively. After the stripping of the broodstocks, fertilized eggs were placed into the incubators of recirculating system in Trabzon Central Fisheries Research Institute. In the present research, mean absolute and relative fecundity rates were determined as 5,654±856 egg/broodstock and 1,659±141 egg/kg, respectively. Besides, mean fertilization and eyeing rates of the eggs were found as 96±2.2% and 92.3±2.9%, respectively. Also mean hatching rate, free swimming rate of larvae and hatchability were determined as 81±4.8%, 99.2±0.12% and 77.9±5.2%, respectively. In conclusion, Black Sea trout whose adaptation to the culture conditions was provided and reproductive characteristics were determined is in a good condition. Therefore, its culture can be recommended as an alternative species in the fresh waters and the seas in Black Sea Region. Keywords: Black Sea trout, Salmo trutta labrax, Fecundity, Fertilization rate, Hatchability
