Effect of different light intensities survival rate and growth on larvae breeding in black sea turbot (Psetta maxima, Linnaeus, 1758)

Abstract (EN)
In this study, Black Sea turbot (Psetta maxima, L., 1758) larvae of produced in Trabzon Central Fisheries Research Institute (CFRI), four different light intensity (50, 300, 600 ve 1.000 lux) intended determine the effects on larvae survival rate and growth performance. According to the experimental group at the end of the trial, the survival rate of larvae; 50 luxury group 23.54 %, 300 luxury group 12.95 %, 600 luxury group 8.65 % and 1.000 luxury group 10.93 % has been identified as. The mean total length of the larvae in the experimental group; 50 luxury group 21.77±2.11 mm, 300 luxury group 22.33±1.66 mm, 600 luxury group 20.22±2.50 mm and 1.000 luxury group is 23.25±1.29 mm, and the difference between groups statistically significant as were observed (p <0.05). Still the average live weight of larvae in groups, respectively; 50 luxury group 0.107±0.03 g, 300 luxury group 0.117±0.03 g, 600 luxury group 0.086±0.03 g and 1.000 luxury group is 0.136±0.08 g were measured and the difference between groups for statistically significant as determined (p <0.05); however, the difference between 300 and 1.000 luxury group have been found to be significant (p> 0.05). As a result, the highest survival rate in the group with the lowest light intensity, the lowest light intensity, the highest survival rate was determined in the group. The largest average live weight of larvae and larval total length in the group with the highest light intensity and the average total length of the smallest larvae and larvae, the lowest light intensity of live weight was determined to be in the group. This study showed that there is an inverse relationship between the growth performance of larvae with larval survival rate.
