Abstract (EN)

By 2003 Ministry of Health launched "Health Transformation Programme" to provide the desired change in health services in our country The aims of the program are defined as effective organization of the health services and financing it.The purpose of the researcher is to identify the level of knowledge and the opinions of the senior students of KTU Faculty of Medicine and Health Higher School within the scope of Health Transformation Programme which they are supposed to come across after graduation and its fundamental components.The research population consists of all the senior students of KTU Faculty of Medicine and Health Higher School. Data has been gathered via survey method. 98 students from faculty of medicine and 120 students from health higher school making a total number of 218 students participated in the research. The data gathered is both identified by numbers and percentages and chi-square test is used to compare the qualitative data. The survey method includes questions for testing the knowledge of the students about the Health Transformation Programmes fundamental components family medicine, family health personnel, general health insurance, transfer procedure, quality and accreditation, rational management of pharmaceuticals and institutional capacity building material health information system, planner and controller health ministry.In the research, compared with the faculty of medicine students the Health Higher School students usually gave more correct answers to the information based questions. Although the students regard the applications of Health Transformation Programme as negative, faculty of medicine students regard Family Medicine Application more positive than the health higher school students.It is concluded that there is a need to give place to existing applications intended Health Transformation Programme in the education of faculty of medicine and Health Higher School students who are going to be the future employees of health sector. Besides, the education syllabus should not remain only in theory, and should be shaped in altering points of views in a way that it can include practical elements; thus, providing the students- future employees of health sector- with evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of Transformation Programme.Key Words: Health transformation programme, faculty of medicine, health higher school, student
