Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to determine the travel motivations of domestic tourists participating in Black Sea tours in terms of push and pull factors. In this context, an attempt was made to reach domestic tourists participating in Black Sea tours face-to-face and online and to determine travel motivation factors through the prepared survey. A survey consisting of two parts and 56 questions was used in this study. The first part of the survey consisted of eight questions aimed at determining the demographic characteristics of the participants and the second part of the survey consisted of 48 Likert-type expressions measuring the participants' motivations for participating in Black Sea tours in terms of push and pull factors. The universe of the research consists of all domestic tourists visiting the Black Sea Region. The research sample consists of domestic tourists who could be reached during the data collection period of the research (August 1, 2024 - October 1, 2024) and who visited the Black Sea Region. In order to provide an acceptable sample size (384 participants) to represent the universe, the prepared survey was delivered face-to-face and online to domestic tourists participating in Black Sea tours on the relevant dates. In this study, simple random sampling method, which is a probability-based sampling method, was used to determine the individuals to be included in the sample. At the end of the data collection process of the study, a total of 403 people were reached and the feedbacks of all participants were included in the research analyses. As a result of the research analyses (SPSS 24.0), it was determined that the majority of the tourists participating in the study were female, between the ages of 25-60, with a high school level education, students and with a monthly income of 0 TL-25,000 TL. In addition, 54.3% of the tourists stated that they had not participated in a Black Sea tour before, 78.7% stated that they could participate in a Black Sea tour again and 52.4% stated that the reason for participating in the tour again was the abundance of places to be visited during the tour.
