Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to examine in a psyhological approach what extent the impact of people?s beliefs on individuals. The data in this study such as gender, age, marital status, educational status, perception of religiosity, socio-economic and occupational status were assessed in terms of independed variables. The sample group of the study consists of 195 women and 124 men, total of 319 sujet in Karasu region. Study is formed with two part as the the oretical section and the emprical section. In emprical section, the survey technique is used and the data were evaluated by using SPSS for WINDOWS 16.0 statistical package program.From the results obtained, people?s beliefs have some effects on individuals. It has been found that when desperations felf, individuals applied these beliefs and practices although they seem as if they are serious. In other words, it has been identified that when necessary, these beliefs are used as a means of coping with the problems by individuals.
