Abstract (EN)

The current thesis consists of two parts. The first part of the study covers the synthesis of para/meta substituted amino sulfonamides with various benzoyl chloride compounds containing a sulfonamide group. The synthesis involves coupling in a mixture of dichloromethane and acetone at room temperature. The compounds were obtained in high purity and yield and their structures determined by NMR, IR and MS spectroscopic tehniques. In the second part of the study the synthesized carboxysulfonamide compounds were screened for their carbonic anhydrase activity by utilizing human erytrocyte carbonic anhydrases I and II. The IC50 results obtained were compared with the IC50 results of the carbonic anhydrase inhibitor acetazolamide. Furthermore, molecular docking of the synthesized compounds and carbonic anhydrase enzymes were carried out to predict the possible binding mode of the ligand.
