Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of "Career Decision Making Group Guidance Program" developed by the researcher on career decision making difficulties and basic psychological needs of secondary school 10th grade students. This experimental study was designed as pre-test-post-test and follow-up test design with control group. The research included 30 students having high career decision-making difficulties, 15 assigned to experimental group and 15 randomly to control group. Demographic Information Form, Career Decision Making Difficulties Scale High School Form, and Basic Needs Scale were used as data-collection tools. The data were analyzed through Mann Whitney U and two-factor ANOVA. The results revealed that career decision making group guidance program decreased 10th grade students' career decision making difficulties, but it did not make a significant difference in basic psychological needs scores.
