Kasida-i Munfarija and Ismail Ankaravi's Hikam-i Munderija fi Sharhi'l-Munfarija

The purpose of our this work is to demonstrate the value and properties of Ismail Ankaravi's commentary named Hikam-i mundarija fî sharhi?l-Munferija written nearly five centuries after the death of Ibnu'n-Nahvi, who was amongst the Arab sufis/mystics. It consists of three chapters and a conclusion.In 1st chapter of the thesis, the life, mystical personality and works of Ibnu'n-Nahvi, who is author of the text on which the above mentioned commentary is written, have been discussed. Then by giving general information about the Kasida-I Munfarijah which is source text for the commentary, the works done on it and its place in classical Turkish Literature has been discussed. In 2nd chapter the life and works of Ankaravi the author of above mentioned commentary have been discussed briefly. Then the commentary of Munfarijah, which is actual topic/subject of our work, has been evaluated, his method has been emphasized and categorization of sources used has been done.The 3rd chapter of our work comprises of the actual text of the said commentary converted from Arabic script to the Latin script. The copy of the text present in Sulemania Library, Nuruosmaniye section with reference no (4039/1) has been adopted as base for reading.
