Two historical accident of Kastamonu, Devrekâni and Ginolu coast

Abstract: Kastamonu is an important city in terms of Turkish history. Turkish domination and settlement in Kastamonu Began in XI. Century. In XII. Century Kastamonu had been occupied by the Byzantines and Turks in different times. In XIII. Century Çobanoğulları had ruled this area , as a seigniory of the Seljuks Empire. XIV. Century and. During the first half of the XV. Century, the Candaroğulları Principality established sovereignty. The mentioned region has been under the administration of the Ottoman Empire since 1461. With the handovering the city to the Ottomans, Kastamonu was built as the center of "Sancak", (Administrative region under Ottoman Empire) an important unit in terms of military and administrative aspects, and some of the Ottoman princes were designated as "Sancak Beyi" (Senior of Sancak). Of Kastamonu, XV-XVI. As it can be understood from the Deeds of Tahrir (Accounting of general taxes in Ottoman Empire) of XV-XVI. Centuries, Kastamonu consisted of Central, Araç, Devrekâni, Küre, Göl, Boyabad, Daday, Sinop, Ayandon, Taşköprü and Durağan districts (Kaza – Nahiye) . Kastamonu, at the age of principalities and the Ottomans ruling, consisted of one of the most important distiricts, Devrekâni and. Ginolu Beach which has been separated from Devrekâni in the 16th century and turned into a separate accident in XVII Century.. The historical, social and cultural structure of these two distiricts and their affiliated villages to them, are recorded in the Tapu Tahrir records, Foundation books, Foundations, Salnâme's and so on. other sources have been tried to clarify. Mosques, masjids, dervish lodges, shrines, fountains, etc. which are social, religious and cultural assets within the boundaries of two distiricts and constructions were also examined. Some of these constuctions have been seen in situ within the scope of field researches. In addition, the names of villages, locality and highlands that are subject to Devrekâni and Ginolu Beach were also evaluated in this study.
