Abstract (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to control the congruousness of various criteria of solid waste storage area for Bozüyük city center, by using Analytical Hierarchy Method from Geographıcal Information system and Multi Criteria Decision Making Methods. Related provisions about solid waste regulations and the municipal ordinance have been analyzed by taking into account the criteria used in previous studies and the current situation of the study area. Ten data layers were put to use in this analysis. These layers have been designated as follows; distance to the settlement area, population density, geology, distance to the surface water, land use, slope, distance to the highways, distance to the transportation areas, transportation distance and road conditions. As a result of the analysis which was conducted by using these layers, a result map demonstrating the suitability of the study area for urban waste storage and disposal sites has been producedIn this study, it is tried to explain how to reach the result by using AHY from multi criteria decision making methods, how this method is used, and the benefits of the result. This method can be used in different areas. For example, it can easily be seen that the selection of suitable places for hospitals, airports or fire stations is understandable by this method. Theapplication of AHY is as follows. Considering the criteria in the study, the distance criteria for surface waters. It is emphasized that solid waste storage areas should not be close to drinking water according to water pollution control regulation. Waste collection area should be away from surface waters. If you give the highest point to the farthest point and the lowest point to the nearest point to the surface waters is given, one of the multiple criteria will be formed and when combined with the calculations in the same way as the others, an objective result will emerge.
