Abstract (EN)
An earthquake is an unpredictable and unavoidable natural disaster with a high destructive effect that cannot be detected in advance despite today's technologies. The purpose of earthquake-resistant building design is to limit the damage that may occur in the structure in the case of minor earthquakes and to prevent and limit the permanent damage in the case of destructive earthquakes, provided that the safety of human lives is guaranteed. In this study, ground class, floor height, and column spacing were chosen as variable parameters. The buildings with 5, 10 and 15 floors were designed on two grounds, class A and E. The floor height, which is one of the variable parameters, was set to 3 m, 3,5 m ve 4 m. The column spacing was set to 3 m, 5 m and 7 m, also according to the regulation. All models were subjected to seismic analysis in the package program, and the results were evaluated and compared.
