Abstract (EN)

Kayalıpınar Settlement of Yıldızeli District of Sivas Province was discovered by J. Yakar and A. Gürsan-Salzman. A. Tuba Ökse has provided better recognition with surface studies to Kayalıpınar Settlement. The first period of excavations was carried out under the scientific responsibility of A. Müller-Karpe in 2005-2009. In 2012, the excavation was carried out under the scientific responsibility of Bora Uysal. Among the works uncovered during the study, Age of Assyrian Trade Colonies Ceramic is the main subject of my study. The existing material, which is considered, has been drawn by typological evaluation, classified according to forms and tried to be collected in the catalog. The ceramics evaluated together with the seized layers were compared with the contemporary settlements and their similarities and differences were examined and which were tried to be dated. As a result of our study, it has been observed that the Kayalıpınar Settlement exhibits intense similarities with contemporary settlements. It was observed there were different forms which unique in here. The doughs, forms, decorations, construction methods and style changes of the pottery give important information in dating. The types uncovered in different locations show trade. Quality difference refers to social status. Key Words: Age of Assyrian Trade Colonies, Kayalıpınar, pottery
