Kayseri Public Center and its activities

In 1930, citizens realized that revolution arymovementsandinnovationscould not reachthepeople. Intheface of thissituation, the Republican People's Partymade a decision to open community centers. The 14 community centers opened on February 19, 1932 increased in number in a short time. Community centers tried to eliminate the deficiencies of the society and provided great benefits in this regard. Community centers opened by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk were structured in order to develop the national will and national consciousness. Atatürk's revolutions were tried to be explained to the people and important works were carried out in this regard. Community centers, which were born in line with the principle of populism, also had an important place in terms of preparing people for the future. Kayseri Community Center aimed to develop people socially, culturally and economically as well as to reach the level of educated and en lightened people. Kayseri Community Center embraced the society in terms of bo thitses tablishment purpose and its activities and became a beneficial institution for the society. In this study, after giving general information about Community Centers, Kayseri Community Center was focused on. First of all, the sourcesto be reached about Kayseri Community Center were scanned and reviewed. The books and publication spublished by this People's House were examined. In addition, documents from the Prime Ministry Republic Archives were scanned and the ses and articles about the Kayseri People's House were read.
