Postgraduate thesis-transcript of the dewan of Rûhî from Bağhdad in Kayseri Reşit Efendi Antiques Library (Text-analysis)

Over six hundred years Divan Literature sprawled to a wide geographical area introduces many valuable poets and precious man whose numbers are not fully determined to our world of culture. Some of the works of this influenced literary tradition for centuries in literary history are made understandable and readable for today's people but still many literary works are waiting to be studied. The Divân of Bağdatlı Rûhî is one of them in terms of comprehensive analysis. Bağdatlı Rûhî, is one of the most important poets of the 16th century. With this thesis, the writing copy of his Divân was translated into Today's alphabet originated from Latin alphabet using the transcription marks of his divân poetry, and also these poems were translated into Today' Turkish alphabet with the aims of the analysis of the classical Turkish Literature in terms of 16th poetic assumptions. Baghdad Rûhî is thought to be one of the productive poets who plays an important role with his significant. Divân on the stage of Classical Turkish Literature. His divân was published by Professor Coşkun Ak as a critical edition text. However, each divan should be regarded as a unique masterpiece and this study will be the different of this field in terms of translation and analysis. Key words: Poem, esthetics, tradition
