Marketing structure and problems of apricot: The example of Malatya province

Apricot is a very important source of income for the country's economy. Considering the export data, the importance of apricot can be seen. In this study, a survey was conducted using the information of 400 producers in order to determine apricot production, marketing, marketing problems and producer expectations in Malatya, where apricots are grown the most in our country, in other words, the homeland of apricots. In the study, they had the opportunity to evaluate the situation with the producers in Malatya and they answered the scale items sincerely. Although apricot is an important source of income in Malatya, it has turned into a lifestyle for producers. In Malatya, plans are made according to the apricot situation and plans are made according to the apricot situation. In the study, a survey was conducted and the data received from the producers were analyzed with the SPSS 25 package program. In addition, ANOVA test, T-test and Correlation analyzes were made using the data and used in the study. The first thing that stands out as apricot problems in the study is the late spring frosts caused by the seasons. Since Malatya province is very cold due to its location, late spring frosts are frequently seen. It has been determined that another important problem is due to the fact that the input prices for diseases and the fight against these diseases are expensive and the necessary information is not given to the producer. In order to solve these problems, it is envisaged that state supports should not only be financial but also informational support. As a result of the analyzes in the SPSS 25 program, 6 factors (Production, Satisfaction, Marketing, Sales, Advertising, Export) were determined and the analyzes were carried out using these 6 factors.
