Özet (EN)
II ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to examine the presence of acinetobacters infections in cats and dogs in cities Aydm and İzmir. The relationship between these infections that occur in hospitals was also examined. To this end, 1 00 samples in total were collected from dogs (70 swabs) and cats (30 swabs) presented to small animal clinics and animal hospitals. Acinetobacter baumannii was isolated and identified in 3 out of 100 samples (3 %). These strains of A. baumannii isolates were found to be sensitive to some antibiotices such as amikacin, meropenem, sulbactam+ampicillin, imipenem and cephaperazone + sulbactam. On the other hand, they were found to be resistant to cephaperazone, levofloxacin, cefepime, ceftriaxone, cefuroxime sodium, ampicillin, gentamicin, amoksisillin + clavulanic acid and cefotaxime. Keywords : Acinetobacter baumanii, Isolation, Identification, Antibiotic Susceptibility Tests
