Abstract (EN)

Mahmud b. Suleyman el-Kefevî reserves first six ketîbe of his magnum opus al-Katâib, to the jurists (fuqahâ) of muteqaddimûn or formation period of Hanafi school which covers approximately three centuries. The biography of Abu Yusuf (d. 182/798) is the first biography of the section and it ends with el-Saymerî's (d. 436/1044-5). The rest of the thesis is organised to study this three centuries long period under three headings: "People", "Books", "Quotations". We will present the spread of the Hanafi school with statistical information, maps and tables emphasising on scholarly environments, time periods and key personalities, the formation of information system of the school on the bases of scholarly literature produced by Hanafi jurists. In the appendix a critical edition of the first six ketîbe of Kefevi's work is presented.
