Abstract (EN)
The notion of Kemalism has a very important place in the history of Turkey. In fact, Kemalism is such a concept that it finds its place in the political, economic and social fields of today as well as history and is the subject of discussions in this field.. Although Kemalism is a familiar concept for Turkish society, Its content is a issue of continuous debate. As well as Those who say that they form the foundations and founding factors of Turkey and that it will have been constantly show its shadow throughout the Republic; there are those who say that it is old, that it needs to be updated, even those who say that it should be completely rescind. It is frequently found in political discourses, and a sense of belonging is tried to be created with the discourse of Kemalism. In addition to these, in the political history of Turkey, apart from political parties, military interventions have come to the fore as a discourse, and it has served as a basis for all segments in ensuring the legitimacy of the work done in every field, and continues to do so. As there are many different interpretations on the definition of Kemalism as a concept; there are discussions about whether there is an ideology, and those who defend it as an ideology bring ideological explanations to support their arguments. There are also ardent defenders of Kemalism, as well as critics. One of those who criticize Kemalism on this axis is Emin Türk Eliçin, who stands out with his Kemalist identity. The aim of the study is to reveal Emin Türk Eliçin's view and criticisms of Kemalism, who criticizes Kemalism as a Kemalist. In this direction, literature review and compilation methods were used in the study. As a result of the study, it has been concluded that Eliçin argues that there are differences between what Kemalism promises and what it offers, that it does not have enough ideological foundations, that there are deficiencies in practices and that Kemalism is not as successful as it claims.
