Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is examine the contribution to creation of the right to the city by revolutionary women in society and effects on the urban dynamics considering the conditions of revolution. Revolutionary women who demand right to the city for all groups with using it in variety formats causes social movements in cities. This study explains the role of women in social movements with using the right to the city to spread to all groups in society. Study shows women's who take part in social movements contribution to creation of the right and being available for all. The content of the thesis is limited with five revolutions and five revolutionary woman. To selection the revolution and revolutionary women is based on criteria such as these women's demands, oratory, leadership, organizations, using the transfer of power from the revolution to give direction to the community in urban public spaces, the universality. In addition, women in this thesis have a cultural background and they demonstrate their this accumulation in the revolution process for demand of rights. Rosa Parks and Olympe De Gouges has intellectual environment with their efforts when some of them ise members of an exclusive class such as Halide Edip Adıvar, Alexander Kollontai, Benazir Bhutto. All these revolutionary women can develop themselves to be leader of mass in the revolution process. Revolutionary women's urban policy tools to use the city rights which is rallies, organizations, the magazine, newspapers, books, brochures, schools and interviwes are considered. Revolution process examines in order to explain the conditions in society in revolution period, because the seperation of the historical and social conditions in the emergence of revolution bring one dimensional approach. In this study revolutions and revolutionary women's contribution to right to the city examines in a descriptive narrative method in a historical and sociological perspective. When examining revolutions and revolutionary women's activity used mostly official documents, autobiographies, artifacts, interviews and the historical source. In order to demonstrate the interaction between the social movements and the city, the perspectives of different theorists examines urban theories with revolution and revolutionary women. These theories also descriptive to show the unique aspects and characters of each city. Keywords: City, Right to the City, Revolution, the Revolutionary Women.
