Dynamics and effects of the urban regeneration process in the industry areas ; İstanbul Basın Express axle

In this study, a research was done on the regeneration of industry in Basın Express Axle in Istanbul. With the rapid development of Istanbul, economic structure has begun to transform move from industry sector to service sector. In this way, the constructions in the city, the use and functions of lands also changed. In the meantime, with the applied decentralization politics, how these lands are evaluated instead of the industry functions which left the city and which functions have taken their places have become important topic issue. In this study of the thesis content, the transformation of the areas where industry has begun to leave have been researched. The study is focused on Basın Express Axle, which is one of these areas. In these present maps the dynamic process of transformation and field interviews and researched.
