Urban awareness and urban rights: The case of Batman

The city is a field of various explanations in which people form communities to gather, protect and use goods and services. Cities come together with the different life structures of the communities and form a cosmopolitan area where each value is closely linked to the other value. In this context, the city forms a unique and concentrated settlement system. In this settlement system, the urbanization process, urban culture and lack of urban awareness negatively affect the socio-cultural, socio-spatial and socio-economic structure of the city. This is basically the concept of the city, and basic concepts such as urbanization, urban consciousness and urban rights from past to present are discussed. In this context, in order to create the framework, the concepts of the city, urbanization, urban consciousness and citizens' rights have been tried to be explained. "Urban Consciousness" in Batman: "City Consciousness" in Batman, by ensuring that the citizens reach the city where they will continue their social life with the goal of strengthening their ties with the place where they live, by staying in a positive sensitivity with the city and actively strengthening their social ties with the city with the awareness of help. and the importance given to "Rights of the Urban", and discusses these attitudes and wide-ranging analyzes of individuals living in the city. In this context, 617 questionnaires were applied to the people living in Batman, and a total of 585 questionnaires were evaluated. The data of the research were analyzed with the SPSS program, numerical aspects were obtained, and based on these aspects, urban awareness and urban rights savings were designed. As a result, the level of urban awareness and perception of urban rights is high. acaktır.
