Urban transformation applications: A case study on Ankara Mamak Yatikmusluk

Urban regeneration works are being carried out within the scope of the arrangement in accordance wirth the new zoning plan datas which are ownership of distorted and densely structured, worn and neglected, vulnerable to disasters and urban risks, infrastructure needs can not meet the needs, legal or illegal zoning property places. As a result of large-scale housing projects in the country after 1980, it has caused unnecessary spread of cities, the destruction of cultural, natural and historical riches, inefficient use of public resources and wastage at the same time against the principle of economic, social and environmental sustainability. In the Ankara Yatıkmusluk Urban Transformation Project, the transition from horizontal ownership to vertical ownership, economic gains of administrations, project implementation process, zoning plan studies, reconciliation process with rights holders, slum demolition process, expropriation processes, construction phase, distribution of rights to the right holders and satisfaction and victimization analyzes were conducted by surveys. In the survey, satisfaction and victimization status of the right holders; demographic characteristics, socio-economic characteristics and spatial history. According to the results of the survey, it was determined that the beneficiaries were generally victims, but their satisfaction with the urban transformation in Mamak Yatıkmusluk was high.
