Financing of urban transformation applications and an application

Although the name changes according to the prominent application tools and the areas they target, urban transformation applications has been the case that observed since the middle of the 18th century. From its inception to the present, the concept of urban transformation aims at a holistic urban benefit that can be grouped under social, economic and environmental headings. Conceptual maturation of urban transformation practices in late urbanizing Turkey has been in the 2000s. There are criticisms that the transformation practices carried out in Turkey are far from a holistic approach, arised the importance of economic growth rather than social and environmental benefits. It is seen that the economic return-oriented transformation practices do not eliminate the social and environmental problems observed in the urban space and do not increase the quality of living spaces. On the contrary, it deepens these problems by increasing structure and population density and deepening urban poverty.
