Abstract (EN)
In today's living conditions, the importance of urban green spaces has become better understood. These areas, which are offered to the use of healthy and disabled individuals of all ages, are the most important areas used for stress relief and leisure time thanks to their design features and active and / or passive recreation areas. These areas should be designed and implemented according to the standards required for the accessibility of these areas and for disabled individuals to use them easily. In this study, an evaluation was made and interpreted about the accessibility of visually and orthopedically disabled individuals in Kemerburgaz urban forest, one of the most important open green areas of Istanbul city. In such a large and well-equipped urban park, the lack of sports equipment and children's playground equipment for disabled individuals has been identified as an important deficiency.
