Abstract (EN)

This study, in which the terms of landscape and silvicultural for urban green areas are evaluated, focused on landscape and sivicultural activities implemented in this areas. Three urban green areas are chosen as study areas for this purpose in Trabzon and these areas' stand profiles, soil properties, urban landscape properties, types and properties of the trees are examined. The best examples of the areas are selected by visiting to these three areas during the field study. 46 soil samples taken from the areas are investigated in laboratory after selected areas of soil sampling. "Stand Profile Purchase Form" which is prepared for determination of stand profiles is evaluated for each sample area. In this evaluation, the sample areas' direction, slope, elevation and trees' properties as family, diameters, heights, east, west, north, south directions to bough length in top projection area, initial height of live bough are measured and total 9 profiles drawing is made. According to these data, the green areas' usage, functionality, efficiency are evaluated. As a result, it is revealed that the green areas is neglected and unable to respond the needs. In this point of view, it is neccessary to increase the usage possibilities of the current green areas again and also exposed some suggestions about the reform to present green areas for landscape design and soil characteristics and effective use of the city's residents.
