Corneal Topographic Changes at First Degree Relatives Of Patients with Keratoconus We would like to report our clinical results about corneal topographic changes infirst degree relatives of patients with keratoconus between 2014- 2016.224 eyes of 112 relatives and 104 eyes of 52 control group patients were includedin this prospective study. Amsler Krumeich classification was used for categorization.And than the new ABCD classification system was used for further assessments.In 8 eyes of relatives (3.57%) grade 1 keratoconus was diagnosed. In 10 eyes ofrelatives (4.46%) grade 2 keratoconus, in 16 eyes of relatives (7.14%) FFKK, in 15 eyesof relatives (6.69%) suspicious keratoconus was diagnosed. In 126 eyes (78.12%) ofrelatives results were normal.ABCD classification system was used than for grading. In control group gradingwas as A0B0C0C0. Also the same results were found for normal group.In grade 1 KK group results were as A1B2C1D1, in grade 2 KK groupA2B3C2D2, in FFKK group A0B1C1D0 and in KK suspects A0B1C0D1. Especially Bcriteria which shows posterior surface changes was different intergroups.Because of positive family history, relatives of patients with keratoconus shouldbe examined as clinical and topographic. Keratoconus patients should be giveninformation about the importance of relatives examination. Our study is the first study that classifies keratoconus by using ABCD gradingsystem. More study should be done about new classification for evaluation about itsappropriateness in clinical use. Key words: Keratoconus, relatives, Pentacam, ABCD classification
