Abstract (EN)

It is possible to identify many folk culture elements related to the region or the social life of the region in novels and stories. Because each lifestyle includes its own folklore. It is seen that Kerim Korcan often includes elements of folk culture in the stories and novels that we have examined, and that he reflects the characteristics and culture of the society he lives in. Kerim Korcan, who was born into a poor family in a time when living conditions were very difficult, started working life at a very young age after a limited education and was directed by his father to a profession that had no interest. In the works of Kerim Korcan, who achieved his dreams over time and became a writer, social structure and relations came to life by taking advantage of the real life of the writer. The author, who attaches great importance to understanding, interpreting and synthesizing what he reads, has succeeded in transferring the results he has reached to his publications with the meticulousness of a jeweler, accompanied by a literary style. In our study, which is shaped according to Sedat Veyis Örnek's "Village, Town and Urban Life (Monographs)" study plan, the elements of folk culture in Kerim Korcan's stories and novels by using document analysis method; It has been determined under the main headings of folk literature and folklore and presented to attention with partial evaluations.
