Abstract (EN)
The Tanzimat era is a period of innovative movements that took place in the 19th century. In addition to these innovation movements in the field of administrative, legal, military and education, the practices towards improvement in the social field have also been a remarkable issue. The intellectuals of the Tanzimat period, who were supporters of innovation, science and science, started the simplification movement in their articles written in various newspapers in order to convey their innovative ideas to the public, carrying the desire of a generation kneaded in new ideas. The Tanzimat period intellectual, who aimed to enlighten the public by writing works on many subjects and emphasized the female identity with a faint trace, also played an important role in the gradual clarification of women in the socio-cultural field and creating a problem area. In our study, the theme of mother and daughter, which was processed in the Tanzimat novel, was tried to be determined by considering the relationship, bond and psychological effect between them in many ways.
