Abstract (EN)
In recent years, the need for energy has increased with the advancing technology and the interest in the search for alternative energy sources has increased in order to meet this increasing need. In this study, the outer shell of chestnut, which is one of the biomass sources, was determined as a biofuel source and pyrolysis was carried out with the help of a reactor. The effects of gas flow rate, pyrolysis temperature and heating rate on pyrolytic oil yield were investigated in the experiments. As a result of the data obtained, the highest pyrolytic oil yield was determined as 16.86% by mass, with a pyrolysis temperature of 500 °C, an entraining nitrogen gas flow rate of 1 L/min, a heating rate of 10 °C/min and a retention time of 30 minutes. The pyrolytic oil obtained as a result of the experiments was sent to the relevant laboratories for examinations and the kinematic viscosity 8,60 mm2/s, density 1146,50 kg/m3, water ratio 1,22% and sulfur ratio 0,32% were determined for 40 °C.
