Abstract (EN)
Bayburt stone, whose reserves are in Bayburt, is used in various fields as building and decoration material. Bayburt stone is basically found in three types: yellow, green and white. When these stones are used industrially, waste is produced. Within the scope of this study, the usability of white and yellow Bayburt stone wastes in the natural state and after calcination in soil stabilization was examined. High plasticity clay was used as natural soil in the study. Samples were prepared by adding 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% white Bayburt stone waste, yellow Bayburt stone waste, calcined white Bayburt stone waste and calcined yellow Bayburt stone waste, without lime and with 6% lime, to the natural soil. In this study, where the unconfined compressive strengths of the samples were determined after 7, 14 and 28 days of curing, freeze- thaw experiments in four different cycle numbers and wetting-drying experiments were carried out after the 28 days cure. A total of 782 samples were produced within the scope of the study. As a result of the unconfined compressive strength tests, the maximum compressive strength value was obtained from the KSBTK20 sample at the end of the 28 days of curing period. When the wetting drying test results were examined, it was determined that KSBTK20 and KBBTK20 samples maintained their volumetric stability even after 12 cycles. Upon analyzing the strength and durability of all the samples, it was concluded that, in comparison to using the waste white and yellow Bayburt stones in their natural state, using them in soil stabilization after calcination greatly improved the strength and durability behavior.
