Abstract (EN)
CdS films have been produced under various conditions by means of the chemical bath depositions (CBD). The optimum set of these conditions to produce CdS films has been achieved by using cadmium chloride with 0.2 M concentration as Cd source, thiourea as S source in a solution at 82 C with pH value of 11.5 in 60 minutes on glass substrates. Annealing of the films at 350 C has caused relative improvement in both its structure and band gap values. Considering the I-V characteristics of the CdS films in planar structure with gold electrodes, the dominant mechanism observed to be ohmic conduction prior to annealing, whereas after the annealing the Poole-Frenkel effect became a major mechanism.
