Özet (EN)
In this study, chemically modified Punica granatum L. shells (PGL) against the biosorption behavior of heavy metals were investigated. The modification of PGL was carried out with different chemicals. The maximum biosorption amount was reached with the biomass modified with HMDA. The biosorption of Pb2+ ve Cu2+ ions onto PGL and HMDA-PGL was investigated by means of pH, contact time and temperature; besides biosorption kinetic and isotherm parameters were deduced by using experimental data. Kinetic and isotherm modeling of the proves indicated that experimental parameters agree with the pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir isotherm models. Biosorption experiments performed with continuous system were reserached the reusability of the biomasses and were derived from breakthrough curves relative to biosorption of metal ions. The characterization studies were also done by using FT-IR, BET, SEM, TG and elemental analysis to identify the biosorption processes and the modification of PGL with HMDA.
