ABSTRACT Master of Science Thesis STABILIZATON OF CONTAMINATED PORSUK RIVER SEDIMENTS WITH ADDITIVE MATERIALS GOKŞİN AKDENİZ Anadolu University Graduate School of Sciences Civil Engineering Program Superviser:Asis.Prof.Dr.Hakan KOYUNCU 2004, 77 pages In this study, samples were taken from various locations in Porsuk River and geotechnical, physico-chemical and microstructural properties were determined for both before and after the stabilization. Additive materials such as fly ash, lime, cement, zeolites and sepiolites were used for stabilization. Properties of sediments with and without improvement are given. Stabilization methods are discussed according to experimental data.
