Intertextuality and searching of the Kitâb-i Hâver-nâme

ABSTRACT INTERTEXTUALİTY AND SEARCHİNG OF THE KİTÂB-I HÂVER-NÂME Ali ATİLAY Because of its position in the Turkish and Islamic world, the combat books, the works which are on the struggle of Hz. Ali have a wide place in the Turkish literature, have a different importance. In this study, it is aimed to research on Kitâb-ı Hâver-nâme by transcript it which is one of the Works on Hz. Ali's battles. Using both "book" and "nâme" terms together in the Serlevha is very spectacular. Kitâb-ı Hâver-nâme is a poetic cenknâme consist of 17598 couplet. It is unknown by whom and when this work was copied. The presence of miniature paintings suitable for the story of Hz Ali's struggles in it, although there are not any Arabic or Persian stories, there are four Arabic and six hundred Persian titles which makes this work different from the other cenknâmes. In the sources mentioning about Kitâb-ı Hâver-nâme it is emphasized that the work is a cenknâme; but ın addition to being cenknâme, it is not mentioned that the work is also a nasîhatnâme which is frequently wrapped in religious and moral advices in the text flow. In the work, most of the companions have an important role with their heroism except Hz Ali. In addition, religious themes and fairy-tale themes dominate to the general of the work. Another important work in Turkish literature is Dâstân-ı Hâver-Zemîn, which consists of 4896 couplets in which Hz. Ali's batteles are discussed and mentioned. Especially the events, persons and the motifs in the Kitâb-ı Hâver-nâme, take part remarkablely in the Dâstân-ı Hâver-Zemîn. While examining the Kitâb-ı Hâver-nâme, the work of Dâstân-ı Hâver-Zemîn is evaluated in terms of subject, language,shape, persons, motif features, time and space elements and also it is emphasized the relationship of textuality in the two works. By comparing the two rings of the Turkish verse cenknâme's written in the field of Anatolia, Kitâb-ı Hâver-nâme and Dâstân-ı Haver-Zemîn, it is aimed to increase the contributions to the traditional Turkish epicism and to the provided contributions studies about Hz.
