Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, it can be said that funding is one of the major problems investors face. Investors who lack funding have great difficulties in bringing their projects into action. Under these circumstances crowdfunding has emerged as an alternative source of finance. This study aims to determine the factors affecting the intention to attend the crowdfunding process as a backer. This research also investigates US and Turkey citizens' opinion about crowdfunding. Within this framework the research model has been developed. The data has been collected through internet surveys. Then using SPSS 23.0 and Amos 23.0 the data was analyzed. As a result of analysis trust, complexity, attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control had a significant effect on intention to attend crowdfunding process as a backer among US citizens. On the other hand trust, complexity, subjective norm and perceived behavioral control had a significant effect on intention to attend crowdfunding process as a backer but attitude didn't have any effect on intention to attend crowdfunding process as a backer among Turkey citizens.
