الاستثناءات النحوية في النثر العربي القديم

As a linguistic term, the "exception" or "necessity" rule is defined as poetry that ‎does not conform to rhyme or meter, a deviation from the norm in poetry. While this ‎is considered normal in poetry, its occurrence in prose has sparked some debates. ‎Linguistic deviations (exceptions) based on grammatical necessity have long been ‎associated with poetry by many scholars and have generally been thought of ‎exclusively in relation to poetry. It has been accepted that these necessities are only ‎related to poetry based on the explicit evidence drawn from early linguists' ‎explanations. However, delving into the discussions and expressions of these ‎linguists reveals that the necessity in poetry is a more dominant aspect of their ‎expertise and demonstrates that it is not an absolute domain. In this research, the ‎subject of grammatical necessity and the possibility of this necessity existing not ‎only in poetry but also in some ancient Arabic prose genres such as secî and proverbs ‎have been discussed, attributing this phenomenon to several reasons such as the ‎prevalence of usage, the need for harmony, and the development of prose through ‎techniques like rhyme and repetition, similar to poetry. The study presents both ‎supporting and opposing views on the subject, attempting to objectively examine the ‎evidence from both sides. Ultimately, the conclusion drawn is that necessity can ‎occur not only in poems but also in certain prose genres.‎ Grammar, Arabic Grammar, Exception, Necessity, Prose
