Coffee and coffee-related elements in classical Turkish literature

Studies have been carried out on the origin and meaning of the word coffee, the narratives told about the process of its emergence and the arrival of coffee in the Ottoman lands, prohibitions about coffee, fatwas, the tax paid for coffee, the journey of coffee to Europe, coffee from the eyes of travelers, and the concepts of anti-coffee in Europe and these resources are used. Independent works, debates and ghazals about coffee were studied and it was determined how coffee and its elements were handled in these works. The analogies of coffee and coffee-related elements were determined from various works and processed as sub-titles and how coffee and coffee-related elements were handled in classical Turkish literature was resolved. Thanks to the data obtained from our study, it has been helped to determine the meaning and importance of coffee in classical Turkish literature.
