Abstract (EN)
In this study, meanings of the words ?şem? (candle)? and ?pervâne (moth)? were given and then, the elements that have been associated with them by their traits were interpreted with sample couplets then the beauty and polysemy of classical literature were revealed with the perspectives of poets , expression styles and polysemy in couplets...Although that the candle and moth are the mistaken ones, there are couplets that candle compared with elements of beauty and the moth compared with lover were given to show that they have benefited from ?şem? (candle)? and ?pervâne (moth)? while they are voicing the superiority of lover and love.
