Abstract (EN)
Turks have had a rich cultural accumulation as they live together with many societies. Since the culture of a society cannot be separated from its society, this rich cultural accumulation has shown its effect in almost every aspect of the society. One of these fields is undoubtedly literature. The effect of this rich cultural accumulation is also seen in classical Turkish literature. Because it is very rich in terms of the source it feeds. Religion and mythology come first among these sources. The subject of this study is the plants that have a wide place in religion and mythology. The study includes the identification and interpretation of the elements of sacred and mythological plants encountered in classical Turkish poetry and their comparison with their counterparts in other cultures. In the study, first of all, theoretical information about sacred and mythological plants is given, then its reflections in classical Turkish poetry are mentioned with examples taken from many literary texts. The presented study is important because it explains a subject that is rarely dealt with in classical Turkish poetry. At the same time, this study aims to show the richness of content of classical Turkish literature.
